We were contacted by our client who was in the process of starting up a business with a business partner. They wanted some advice in relation to what they should do and what agreements needed to be in place and any other general advice.

What did we advise?
We advised them that as they were forming a Limited Company they should have Director Service Agreements and shareholders agreements between them which would set out their respective responsibilities and how they were going to manage the business. We also advised that they should protect the company name and logo by making an application for trademark registration. We also gave them general advice in relation to bank guarantees and terms and conditions of trading.
